Notably, Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli, and Ishan Kishan missed easy opportunities, enabling Nepal's openers Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh to capitalize. They managed to put up 65 runs for the opening wicket before Shardul Thakur dismissed Bhurtel for 38 (25).
Ravindra Jadeja then joined the fightback for India and made significant contributions with the ball, taking three wickets, while Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two wickets.
